Telephone

TEC serves the towns of Alamo, Friendship and Maury City, with 4,200 subscribers. The company also offers Extended Area Service (EAS) to Bells and Gadsden, through which all five towns can call without a long distance charge. Bells and Gadsden are served by the BellSouth, however, Gadsden is listed through the Humboldt exchange.

Television

Crockett County has no television station, but reception is received from Memphis, Jackson and Paducah, Kentucky. Cable TV is also available in Crockett County covering all networks, and educational channels.

Radio

WWGM-FM 93.1 serves Crockett County. Reception is also received from Memphis, Jackson, Brownsville, Dyersburg and many others.

Newspapers

The Crockett Times is a local newspaper printed in Crockett County. Carrier delivery is available daily from The Commercial Appeal (Memphis), and The Jackson Sun. The Wall Street Journal and USA Today are also received daily in Crockett County.

Postal Facilities

Crockett County has seven post offices - Alamo, Bells, Crockett Mills, Friendship, Maury City, Gadsden, and Fruitvale. They serve a total of 16,500 customers.
